CYE MP7 Pipe!

As many of you know I am a Proud Team Member of Curtis Youngblood Enterprises, and this allows me to Fly some of the Finest Model Helicopter components in the World.  With that being said, a few weeks ago I received my New MP7 Pipe From CYE.

I quickly opened the Box and right away, I knew that this pipe screamed quality! A few items that really stood out was the Steel inserts. This means that no longer will you need Locknuts to secure your pipe, but rather a strong, steel insert for threading your pipe to your engine. Also included is a Brass Gasket, (No More RTV!) and a Silicone Exhaust deflector. Please note: Some pilots are too cool to use exhaust deflectors! Ha Ha! Another Nice, but not a new feature, is the Single piece design. I have had a few weekends of flying ruined by leaky o-rings, worn grommets, and missing hardware! So that will not be an issue with this pipe.

Next I installed the Pipe on my Nitro ENV, installation went on uneventful. I Fueled the model with Byrons Rotor Rage Masters Blend, and gave it a quick flight. I quickly realized how much mid range punch this pipe had compared to the “O-Ring” pipe that I was using. I warmed the OS 91 HZ to operating temp, and landed to snug the Pipe bolts up with the Engine warm.

I continued to lean the Engine a bit to get that last little bit of smooth power from the engine. I am not sure of how many clicks I went on the needles, but the pipe has a very wide range in which its happy, so the tuning was very easy. The mid range power was stunning, and it did have the smooth power that $200 Plus pipes have.

All in all I think the MP7 is an awesome pipe! For $160.00, The Top Notch Customer Service, as well as the 50% Crash Replacement, Curtis Did his homework and made another Awesome Product!

Thumbs Up!
